Our Story

Gaxel was born from a simple belief: Sport has the power to bring people together, inspire confidence, and enrich our lives in ways that go far beyond the court.

For our founder Laura, that journey began as a young girl with a tennis racket in her hands. Tennis became much more than a sport—it was a source of joy, friendship, confidence, and personal growth. She loved the energy of competition, the healthy lifestyle it encouraged, and even the beauty and elegance that surrounded the game.

When a knee injury forced her to stop playing during her teenage years, she never lost her love for racket sports.

Years later, that passion found a new home.

Her husband, a lifelong enthusiast of racket sports, shared the same appreciation for the unique way these sports bring people together. As their children grew, both began playing tennis, but quickly discovered something that captured their hearts even more: padel.

Soon the entire family was playing.

What started as a search for an activity everyone could enjoy together became something much bigger. Padel gave them exactly what they had been looking for: movement, laughter, connection, wellness, and quality time together.

It wasn't just a sport. It became a family ritual.

A place where generations could play side by side, where friendships were built naturally, and where healthy living felt effortless and fun.

That experience inspired the creation of Gaxel.

As Laura spent more time in the padel community, she noticed something missing. While women were one of the fastest-growing groups in the sport, no brands had been created specifically with them in mind.

Many rackets focused solely on performance metrics while overlooking the things that matter to many female players: comfort, confidence, personal expression, beauty, and enjoyment of the game.

Gaxel was created to change that.

Every Gaxel racket is thoughtfully designed for girls, teens, and women who want equipment that feels as beautiful as the sport itself. Together with her daughter and a team of experienced European designers, Laura and Gala played an active role in shaping every detail—from colors and aesthetics to weight, balance, and feel.

The result is a collection that celebrates femininity without compromising performance.
